Columbus Express Soccer Club is proud to announce that Ty Smith has been named the 2025 Indiana Soccer Club Director of the Year. This marks Ty’s second time earning the prestigious recognition, having previously won in 2020 and being named a finalist in 2022. His dedication to player development, coach education, and club culture continues to elevate not only our club but the broader Indiana soccer community.
Under his direction, Columbus Express has become a model club, known for its strong values, aligned coaching methodology, and a player-first approach that emphasizes long-term development over short-term results. Ty is currently the only coach in Indiana to possess a US Soccer A-License, Club Technical Leader II License, and a Coach Educator License. These certifications reflect not only his technical expertise but his commitment to raising the standards of coaching and club leadership throughout the state.
